Terms of Service
1. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
- You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for maintaining account credential security and all activity under your account.
2. Description of the Service
Remy helps users import, organize, and cook recipes with AI-assisted features, including search, recipe chat, voice interactions, and share links.
We may add, remove, or modify features, and we may impose reasonable usage limits to protect service quality and reliability.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with normal operation.
- Upload or generate content that infringes rights or violates applicable law.
- Use bots or automated scripts to abuse the API or app workflows.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
4. User Content and License
You retain ownership of recipes, notes, prompts, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you.
You represent that you have rights necessary to upload and use your User Content, and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.
5. AI Features and Important Disclaimers
AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances. You are solely responsible for validating all cooking and ingredient decisions.
- AI content is informational only and not medical, nutritional, or professional advice.
- Always verify allergens, food safety temperatures, and substitution compatibility independently.
- For medical or dietary conditions, consult qualified professionals before relying on AI suggestions.
6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials
- Paid features may require a subscription purchased through Apple App Store billing.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal cutoff.
- Pricing, trial terms, and renewal cadence are shown in-app at purchase time.
- Refund handling and billing disputes for App Store purchases are managed by Apple.
- We may change prices prospectively where permitted by law.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, design, branding, logos, and non-user generated content, is owned by Remy or licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for limited use rights granted by these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party platforms and processors (for example, Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, and model providers). We are not responsible for third-party services that are outside our control.
9. Suspension and Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in-app.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for security and abuse prevention.
- Sections that by nature should survive termination remain in effect (for example, liability limits).
10. Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remy and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to the Service.
Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) GBP 100.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Remy and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, User Content, or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer protection rights, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date and may be communicated in-app. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
